Prof. Michael Wolf, Ph.D., studied mathematics at the University of Augsburg and statistics at Stanford University. After graduating from Stanford University, he went to the University of California Los Angeles, where he worked and performed research in the Department of Statistics. After teaching appointments at the Universities of Madrid and Barcelona, he became Professor of Econometrics and Applied Statistics at the University of Zurich in 2005, where he remains active today.
Prof. Wolf is a member of the American Statistical Association, Econometric Society and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. His research interests include nonparametric statistics, financial econometrics and the development of multiple testing procedures. The results of his research have been published in leading journals such as the Annals of Statistics, Econometrica and Journal of the American Statistical Association.
