Ella Jurk joined the IPE team as a consultant in March 2024.
She completed her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Economics at the University of Cologne with outstanding results, making her one of the best graduates of her year. Due to her strong academic performance, she was accepted into the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes, the oldest and largest German organisation for the promotion of gifted students.
During her studies, she specialised in macroeconomics, monetary policy and econometrics. In her Master's thesis, she analysed interest rate data from US banks in order to investigate the effects of changes in the Federal Reserve's key interest rate on various banking products.
