Consumption model
Our microeconomic consumption model aims to quantify the effects of (political) decisions or market changes on changed consumption behaviour or demand and to derive customer-specific recommendations for action. Thanks to the consumption model, you get an overview of current developments and are prepared for what your industry expects!
Questions that our customers ask themselves:
- How will the demand for my products develop in the future?
- Which of my products shows the greatest sales potential for the future?
what you get
Concrete forecast scenarios on future demand developments for individual products
Customer-specific, strategic options for action
Visualisation of the results (e.g. as an interactive dashboard or engagement presentation) for understanding by you and your stakeholders
Our approach
Step 01
Data research and preparation
Identification and definition of all relevant elements and variables (e.g. product groups) that influence consumer behaviour. This involves, for example, creating a market overview in terms of demand for relevant product groups.
Step 02
Modelling the development of demand
Set up a calculation model to analyse the development of demand (e.g. by means of price elasticities of demand) and to identify the most important factors (e.g. tax regulations) that trigger a change in consumption behaviour.
Step 03
Result visualisation
Designing a dashboard or engagement presentation to show the figures and forecasts in detail. We also derive strategic options for action.
