Michael Wolf

Prof. Michael Wolf, Ph.D. studied mathematics at the University of Augsburg and statistics at Stanford University in the USA. After completing his doctorate at Stanford University, he went to the University of California, Los Angeles, where he worked and conducted research in the Department of Statistics. After further teaching positions at the Universities of Madrid and Barcelona, he became Professor of Econometrics and Applied Statistics at the University of Zurich in 2005, where he is still active today.

Prof. Wolf is a member of the American Statistical Association, the Econometric Society and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. His research focuses on non-parametric statistics, financial econometrics and the development of multiple testing methods. The results of his research have been published in leading journals such as Annals of Statistics, Econometrica and Journal of the American Statistical Association.
